PAWTUCKET – The banks of the Seekonk River just got a little louder—and a lot more exciting. On Tuesday afternoon, Rhode Island FC officially announced that their brand-new waterfront stadium will be called Centreville Bank Stadium, solidifying yet another major milestone for the team and the City of Pawtucket.

The name comes as part of a new partnership with Centreville Bank, a Rhode Island institution founded in 1828 and headquartered in West Warwick. While terms of the naming-rights agreement weren’t disclosed, the deal further cements Centreville Bank’s deepening relationship with Rhode Island FC and the surrounding community.

“This isn’t just a stadium – it’s a symbol of opportunity, teamwork, and the power of community,” said Centreville Bank CEO Harold M. Horvat. “In partnership with Rhode Island FC, Centreville Bank Stadium will be the center of action in Rhode Island and a driver of economic progress, creating lasting, meaningful impact for generations to come.”

Centreville Bank has been an “Anchor Partner” with Rhode Island FC since November 2023, joining other top-tier sponsors like Breeze Airways, Capelli Sport, and Ortho Rhode Island. In February, the bank took another step closer to the team by opening a branch right next to RI FC’s offices in downtown Pawtucket.

Known in early marketing as “CVB Stadium,” the venue was formerly referred to as The Stadium at Tidewater Landing during its construction. But now, with naming rights secured and excitement building, Centreville Bank Stadium is stepping into the spotlight.

Located at the intersection of Taft and Tidewater Streets, the stadium isn’t just for soccer. It’s designed as a multi-purpose venue, ready to host rugby, American football, concerts, and a wide variety of events that will bring year-round energy to the area.

The stadium is a key piece of the larger Tidewater Landing project, being developed by Fortuitous Partners. It’s envisioned as the anchor for a revitalized Pawtucket riverfront—complete with new housing, restaurants, retail, a riverwalk, and a pedestrian bridge that will link both sides of the Seekonk. Once fully operational, the stadium is projected to create hundreds of new jobs and inject fresh momentum into the city’s growth.

For Pawtucket, this is more than a name change. It’s a symbol of what’s coming next.
